Now an In-Network Medi-Cal Provider with CCAH

Good news! Sweet Blushing Beauty & Electrology is now contracted with Central California Alliance for Health (CCAH) as an in-network Medi-Cal electrology provider.

For eligible CCAH members, I can help coordinate with your referring provider and health plan regarding referrals, treatment authorizations, and covered electrolysis services.

If you are seeking electrolysis as part of gender-affirming care or surgical preparation, I can also assist with coordinating the documentation and authorization process required before treatment begins.

Coverage, eligibility, and authorization requirements vary by plan and individual circumstances. Prior authorization may be required before treatment can begin.

Insurance Concierge Support

Insurance can feel overwhelming. My goal is to make the administrative side of accessing electrolysis as simple and straightforward as possible so you can focus on your treatment.

Concierge support may include:

• Helping you understand the referral and authorization process

• Helping you communicate with your PCP or referring provider about documentation needed for treatment

• Providing guidance regarding documents that may support an authorization request

• Assisting with coordination between you, your referring provider, and your health plan when appropriate

• Providing treatment documentation when applicable

• Helping you understand what information may be needed to move your request forward

Using Other Insurance? Superbills Are Available

If you have another insurance plan and would like to seek reimbursement for your electrolysis treatments, superbills are available upon request.

You pay for your appointment at the time of service, and afterward I can provide an itemized superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

A superbill may include:

• Provider information

• Patient information

• Date of service

• Treatment/service information

• Applicable billing and diagnosis codes when appropriate

• Amount paid

• Proof of payment

A superbill is not a guarantee of reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement are determined solely by your individual insurance plan. I recommend contacting your insurance company before beginning treatment to ask about your out-of-network electrolysis benefits and documentation requirements.
